15-year-old punched and struck with bottle in Sydney’s CBD

NSW Police are appealing for public assistance after a teen was physically assaulted and struck with a glass bottle early on Sunday morning in Sydney’s CBD. The 15-year-old was walking with friends towards York Street, when at approximately 3:45am the teen was involved in an argument with a man, who then pushed him to the ground and struck him with the glass bottle.

The teen was treated for head and facial injuries by paramedics, and was then taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, with police reporting he was in a stable condition. The man who allegedly assaulted the 15-year-old was last seen walking with his friends on King Street.

Police are conducting an investigation into the attack, and report they have found a man who may be of assistance to the investigation, described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, of medium build, with black short hair and a beard.

Police have released CCTV footage of the man who is wanted for information on the attack.
