The Z.E.N. Trio showcases three extraordinary emerging talents – violinist Esther Yoo,
cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan and pianist Zhang Zuo – who are already becoming well-known on stages worldwide. The group formed because they love playing chamber music together.
They made their name through the BBC New Generation scheme, and have already cut a Deutsche Grammophon recording.
The young composer who wrote the music for this show is Matt Laing, who is also fast coming into demand for his compositions.
Combine the four young talents and you have a show of extraordinary power and beauty.
The trio will play pieces by Brahms, Dvořák and Babajanian, as well as the world premiere of a new work by Matthew Laing.
