The Town and Country Hotel in St Peters will be holding a special drawing event on June 4 for breast cancer awareness and fundraising. Pub owner and breast cancer survivor Helen Filips will be modelling topless for the attendees to draw.

Approaching 10 years of breast cancer survivorship, Helen and collaborators are running the unique event to bring attention and funds to those affected by breast cancer.

“With what I’ve been through in the last nine years… it’s a bit of a celebration,” Helen said. “I’ve had a mastectomy – there’s a lot of scarring and imperfections. What I want is to empower women not to be afraid and to love their bodies after breast cancer.”

Town and Country’s “Lovely” Atmosphere

Attendees will be provided with art supplies and will have creative freedom to draw Helen to promote visibility and solidarity for survivors. “It’s pretty much about the breast cancer breast,Helen said about modelling.

The event will be hosted by CCL’amour, prominent local drag artists.
