Stanmore robbery: Service station robbed at knifepoint on Monday morning

Police are appealing for public assistance after an employee at a Stanmore service station was robbed at knifepoint on Monday morning, with a man stealing cash from the business and fleeing on foot.

At about 12:15am on Monday morning, police were called to a service station on Parramatta Road after reports of an armed robbery in Stanmore.

A man, who is described as being of caucasian appearance and wearing a blue surgical face mask, allegedly threatened an employee with a knife, demanding cash, and was last seen heading west on Parramatta Road.

Employee not injured in Stanmore robbery

The employee was not injured in the incident. Police have established a crime scene and have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the robbery.

On Monday morning, the Inner West Police Area Command requested people with any information or dashcam footage of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a grey top with white lettering, light grey track pants, and black runners.
