Maroubra Woman Wins Lotto

A Maroubra woman was so excited to discover she’d won $1 million in Lotto Strike on Wednesday night that she says she stayed wide awake, waiting for a lottery official to call and confirm the life-changing news.

The Sydney player held the only division one winning entry in Lotto Strike draw, winning a total prize of $1,093,753.75.

“I checked my ticket last night on The Lott app and saw that I’d won division one. I couldn’t believe it! I was shaking so much,” the woman said. “I didn’t sleep a wink last night. I just felt so happy and excited! It’s a dream come true.”

The woman’s winning 4-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Pacific Square News, Shop 17 Pacific Square Shopping Centre, 707-747 Anzac Parade, Maroubra.

The elated winner said she plans to use her prize to help her family and buy herself a new family house.

“I want to get a bigger house for all the kids and grandkids to enjoy, so they can come and visit whenever they want… I’ll help my kids and then use the rest to enjoy retirement.”

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 368 so far this financial year, including 119 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
