Woman dies at Bondi unit, police begin investigation

NSW Police have announced that an investigation into the death of a 38-year-old woman at a Bondi unit on Thursday morning has commenced.

Emergency services were called to a unit on O’Brien Street in Bondi just after 5:00 am on Thursday morning, following reports that a woman was found unresponsive. Paramedics treated the woman, who was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Detectives have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, with NSW Police saying that a man, who was known to the woman, is speaking to investigators at Waverley Police Station. Officers from the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene, which has been forensically examined.

It has been reported that the woman’s body was found with severe injuries to her face, with investigators working to determine how she sustained the injuries.

Bondi death to be examined to determine cause of death

A report will be prepared for the coroner and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

NSW Police have said that inquiries into the woman’s death will continue. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
