Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett has had 5-star reviews worldwide and performed in some states of Australia but has never played in Sydney – until now.

Bernie Dieter is a German singer and songwriter, often compared to Marlene Dietrich who is accolated as the ‘punk cabaret queen’. Her Kabarett boasts a 4-piece band and six semi-clad artists on stage who perform unique quasi burlesque and circus acts while the witty and energetic Dieter performs soothing ballads and bawdy songs.

The acts are bewildering, all eyes transfixed at what transpires on stage. Stunned audiences should cheer as a performer on stage attempts to drill off her chastity belt emitting sparks in each direction, and the male pole dancer who inadvertently seduces each female in the audience through his erotic demeanour and performance.

Other jaw dropping acts include the incredible fire-eater, the daring trapeze and holla hoop act, an aerial silk performance and living proof that humans can get inside a balloon!

Dark and dirty, this cutting-edge cabaret pushes boundaries, celebrates diversity and has affectionately been described as ‘late night filth’. Nothing is sacred and the only rule is that there are no rules on stage.

Outrageous and highly satirical this provocative cabaret is electric and the energy that flows in the crowd quickly accelerates owing to the nature of the show and Dieter’s prowess in exciting and arousing audiences through her sexually themed songs and cheeky and very stimulating wit.

One moment she’s singing an emotional ballad and then proceeds to sing about female sexual organs and ‘enchants’ audiences with dick pics, ultimately highlighting that this cabaret is a mix of ribald and art.

Take the wild ride and come along and watch this Kabarett in the famous and ‘close up and personal’ Spiegeltent’ at The Rocks but be warned that audience participation is expected in this very immersive spectacular. Hiding in the back row does not guarantee immunity from becoming a part of the show as frenzied audiences look on and howl in laughter!

Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett, is R-rated and appropriate viewing for open-minded audiences who enjoy a good night out being entertained by a vivacious songstress and a cabaret like nothing they have seen before.
