Beloved national music icon, Archie Roach has today shared his rescheduled NSW tour dates and due to his declining health has advised it will be his last road tour of NSW.
“This is the fourth reschedule of this tour over the past year or so. My health is my biggest challenge and coming to NSW in March/April will be my final NSW road tour. I am so grateful that everyone has held onto their tickets waiting for these shows to go ahead. Thank you,” said Roach.
Archie also took this moment to introduce J-MILLA as the next guest of his popular YouTube show, Kitchen Table Yarns. Chatting via Zoom at Archie’s kitchen table, the episode will go live on the Archie Roach YouTube channel at 5PM AEDT on Survival Day, Wednesday, January 26.
As Archie poignantly explained, “To me Survival Day recognises the struggles that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have endured since colonisation. It’s also a day where we celebrate our culture and our resilience. We are still here and getting on with our lives through our culture. It’s a day to celebrate not just our survival but our living.”
