City – Country – Creativity

Three long-term friends with different artistic backgrounds have joined together for this special exhibition, which may be the last to be held at the Culture At Work Accelerator Gallery as group of historic cottages have recently been sold.

This exhibition will celebrate the very varied art of three friends who have known each other since their childhood days in Perth.

The artists are Robin Davies, Jennifer Tucker and Jan Larsen who all live in Sydney now and have remained close friends.  Their art is very different so they chose the title of the exhibition to reflect these differences.

Jennifer Tucker qualified as an Architectural Draftsman and later earned a Diploma of Fine Art, winning prizes in various fields of art over a number of years including Advanced Printmaking.

Jan Larsen, lives in nearby Balmain, sketched and painted local scenes throughout the COVID restrictions and was encouraged by her husband’s niece in Denmark to turn these into greeting cards.

Robin Davis is a long term resident of Pyrmont since 1993 and is very well known in the community. When she retired Jan had time to follow her interests, and it was ultimately a sketching tour of Provence that rekindled her passion for painting.  Robin’s granddaughter Andree will also be showing some of her photographic work during the exhibitions, so it is a really family affair.

Until Feb 25. Culture at Work Accelerator Gallery, 6 Scott Street, Pyrmont.
