The pressures for teenagers to achieve and prosper in every avenue are accentuated in this powerful and well-executed psychological drama.

Tyler is an 18-year-old student who strives for perfection in his chosen sport of wrestling. He comes from a well-respected family and his well-intentioned but domineering father demands that he should strive to be beyond average. “You have opportunities I didn’t have – you don’t know how good you have it,” he reiterates.

A muscular disorder negates Tyler’s ability to wrestle and when his girlfriend calls off their relationship the immense pressure leads him on a downhill spiral accelerated by alcohol and drugs. Ultimately leading to tragedy.

Loud, frightening, and depressing. There’s an explosion of emotions at every turn in this hard-hitting, raw, and gritty film that may be invasive to the senses.

Skillful editing and an inventive style of direction propelled by immersive imagery and an exceedingly loud soundtrack of rap music enhance a compelling cinematic experience, as audiences take the hellish journey with this family in crisis. (MMo)
