World Record BBQ Attempt

There is perhaps nothing more Australian than a good old fashioned BBQ. However, in the age of COVID-19 and social distancing the beloved pastime has essentially become outlawed in the traditional sense. Bearing this in mind Cure Cancer have come up with an ingenious way for all Australians to come together for a BBQ, raise funds for cancer research and potentially even break a Guinness World Record.

On Saturday, May 16 Cure Cancer are asking for Australians to fire up their barbies at home, donate $10 and post a photo with the following hashtags – #biggestvirtualbarbecure #bbqsgalore #curecancer #bbqforaustralia.

Throughout the day a range of chefs and celebrity ambassadors will be joining in on the action and sharing some of their favourite BBQ recipes.

To successfully break the world record a minimum of 6,000 people need to take part.
