REVIEW: The Prodigy

On a balmy Saturday evening, fans descended on QUDOS Bank Arena to celebrate the return of one of the world’s best known electro-punk rock bands, The Prodigy. Celebrating their 30th year in 2020, these guys are showing absolutely no signs of slowing down.

From the get-go the entire crowd was heaving to classics like Smack My Bitch Up, Voodoo People and, a clear fan-favourite, Breathe. Keith Maxim and Flint were electric for their entire 85 minute set, it’s hard to believe they are pushing 50.

Light up the Sky and Timebomb Zone, off their latest album No Tourists, reinforced the fact that they’ve got plenty of life left in them.

QUDOS Bank Arena provided the perfect sound and lighting for what was a visual and auditory extravaganza. We are also pleased to confirm, Firestarter, is still as good it was when it was released way back in 1997.
