Shakespeare By The Bay

Shakespeare By The Bay

William Shakespeare is perhaps the most iconic name in theatre ever. So when you combine that pedigree with one of the most iconic bodies of water on the planet, Sydney Harbour, you create a spectacular cultural event.

Thanks to a collaboration between Bard On The Beach, Watson Bay Boutique Hotel and the Woollahra Council this perfect storm of entertainment is about to become a reality. Beginning tomorrow performances of Shakespeare’s The Tragedy Of King Richard III and The Two Gentlemen Of Verona will take place in Robertson Park overlooking the harbour.

Bard On The Beach is an Australian national touring company with thriving talent and extensive experience in outdoor performances of this nature. Bard On The Beach and Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel strongly believe in the importance of arts in strengthening a sense of community.

If you want to add that little extra treat to the evening Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel is offering take-away picnic baskets filled with an array of delicious eats and treats to enjoy throughout the performance.
