Tomb Raider

Lara Croft returns to the big screen in a new story based off the popular 2013 video game by Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider. The action adventure film stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, alongside Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu and Kristen Scott Thomas. The film is directed by Roar Uthaug, with the screenplay by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Alastair Siddons.

Years after her father goes missing, Lara is just a young girl with not a lot of ambition or purpose. After being advised to move forward with her life she is given a Japanese puzzle box that leads to the discovery of her father’s hidden hobby. Going against his final wishes, Lara embarks on an adventure to a mythical island to find what really happened to her father.

The film featured doses of intense action overcome with suspense while keeping the pace throughout. An exciting addition to the Tomb Raider franchise that will leave you hanging out for the next one.
