The Hitman’s Bodyguard

The Hitman’s Bodyguard

Motherf@%^ing awesome!

Pardon the language here but there’s no other way to describe The Hitman‘s Bodyguard, considering it’s practically a Samuel L. Jackson ode to his iconic expression. The movie is Jackson at his best – swearing, shooting, swearing, kicking ass, swearing some more, you get the drift. Deadpool, I mean Ryan Reynolds, is well, Deadpool without spandex and mask. The movie itself is dated, but the rivalry and banter between these two leads is reminiscent of the good part of the Die Hard action movies.

The Hitman‘s Bodyguard is an all out action comedy bromance, with the basic gist being the good guy (Reynolds) protects the not so good guy (Jackson) from the bad guy (Gary Oldman) and they all mix up to create a pretty decent action blood fest.

Despite being a Jackson ride, Salma Hayek almost steals the show from the boys, delivering a fine cameo as the bad-ass wife of Jackson’s character. It may be predictable and to a point unoriginal, but it delivers on all counts as an action movie, making it to be a great way to end the winter blues.
