As one of Disney-Pixar’s most highly anticipated sequels finally hits silver screens today the kids may unfortunately have to wait until the weekend to see it.

IMAX Darling Harbour in conjunction with the Australian Museum have put together a very special event this weekend to make up for the extra wait. The foyer of the cinema will be awash with ocean themed activities and attractions, from face painting and balloon twisting to cake pops and educational talks about marine life, there is something for everyone from for the kids to ‘big kids’ alike. Activities kick-off at 9:30am with the feature screening at 11am.

Finding Dory is the to the much-loved 2003 film Finding Nemo which will see everyone’s favourite the forgetful blue tang, Dory, reunite with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale?

Directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Wall-E), the film features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton.
