National Art School Postgraduate Exhibition 2015

It is almost time to enjoy one of the most anticipated events of the national visual arts calendar.

The most recent postgraduate cohort of the National Art School have reaped the benefits of the recent $8.7 million redevelopment of the institutions state-of-the-art Postgraduate Centre. On show from the end of the month, the National Art School Postgraduate Exhibition showcases and celebrates the achievements of the graduating students from the Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) and Master of Fine Art, a group of more than fifty artists majoring in ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography or sculpture.

For more than 100 years, the National Art School has nurtured the talents of some of the most respected artists in the nation, and it continues to uphold the promise of fostering and showcasing the talents of new generations of graduates is of the same high calibre.

“The Exhibition is a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work to thousands of visitors including curators, collectors and gallerists,” said Michael Snelling, National Art School Director. (AM)
