The Rubens – Hoops
What do you do after exploding out of the gates with your debut album reaching platinum status, and an an ever-growing collection rewards and accolades piling up? Retreat to a secluded songwriting sanctuary of course, and thankfully this has worked marvellously for The Rubens.
Hoops maintains their beloved signature pop-rock sound, one that is catchy and easy to sing-a-long to whilst also showing their growth as a band. This is most evident in two specific tracks – opener Hallelujah, which is a soaring rock filled anthem, and title track Hoops, which sees the group explore their R&B influenced side.
Plenty of tracks here worth checking out and you’re sure to hear a number of them on the radio very soon. (JA)
