Caitlin Park – The Sleeper

Sophomore release The Sleeper is the follow up to the 2011 critically acclaimed Milk Annual and continues to build on Caitlin Park’s folk/electronica foundations.

The LP is blatantly folk-inspired but injects modern electronic techniques such as electronic samples, beats and loops in a unique and inventive manner.

Wake Up In A Whirr, Lemonade and The Sleeper all stand out for their ability to combine the two distinctive sounds with Park’s deep, seductive vocals. The melodies on the LP use changes in tempo well to create a nice flow throughout the LP. (JA)
