Wet – Wet

Brooklyn trio, Wet, showcase their distinctive brand of down-tempo indie-pop in their cheekily titled single Dreams on their self-titled EP. Kelly Zutrau provides the dreamy vocals against a backdrop of minimal beats and the tune flourishes as the strings and guitars build a fuller sound in the chorus. It is warm and understated.

Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl keeps in line with their simplistic style; it’s spacious and features sultry vocals and staccato beats.

Wet’s EP displays an enormous amount of maturity. It takes a lot to hold back, and although they’ve maintained its simplicity, it’s still a playful, fresh soundtrack to a blissed-out dream. (SY)
