Sticky Fingers

Sticky Fingers

Sticky Fingers have been on the rise since their debut album, Caress Your Soul was released early last year. Scoring a neat number 70 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 and announcing a national headline tour, the Sydney five-piece are moving from strength to strength.

Testifying this point is Paddy Cornwall, who says the band members can now indulge in the luxury of making music as their full time job.

“I always try and remember, if someone told me five years ago that I’d be in a position where I’d just be in a band and that was my job, and that was all I had to do, I wouldn’t have believed it.”

As soon as Sticky Fingers wrapped up the tour of their debut, they went straight back into their home studio to record a much anticipated follow up, Land of Pleasure – expected to drop mid 2014.

Fans can catch them for a loose night of good tunes and good times before the Newtown lads head off to Europe again to win over the international crowd.

“We’re all particularly pumped to play the Metro, us all being Sydney lads. Being able to do not one, but two Metros, that’s a huge milestone for us.” (SY)
