No Dice Paradise: Alternative with a penchant for electro, this night is for any individual who wants to get their fists pumping and their shuffle moving to anything but tired radio staples. With five acts lined up to spin their creations throughout the night, be prepared for variety and exposure to some of the upcoming acts that take electro, mash it with elements from a plethora of genres and move their sound to a whole other level. Brendan Maclean will be bringing his amalgamation of indie/pop/folk-electro madness, while Jack Colwell and his backing band The Owls will bring the rocky rhythm.

Thu, Nov 7th, Oxford Art Factory

High Tension: Melbourne mania should definitely be added to the medical dictionary, with these four angsty Australians the latest high-talent act to emerge from the Victorian city. Described as “demonic, demanding and frankly, hooky as shit,” the band members rose from the ashes of the Young & Restless and The Nation Blue and have recently released their debut album as a four-piece titled Death Beat. There couldn’t be a better marriage of musical aptitude, with frontwoman and all-round vocal goddess Karina Utomo exerting her gnarliest screams to the bittersweet riffage of Ash Pegram’s guitar. They’re on the rise and ready to revolt. Get on the bandwagon before it gets too full.

Fri, Nov 8th, The Spectrum

Home Brew: Hailing from the land of gorgeous scenery and its infamous multitude of sheep, Kiwi lads Tom Scott, Haz Beats and Lui Silk will bring their own blend of rap/hip hop debauchery to Circular Quay. In light of their achievements the boys definitely have cause to celebrate, with their 2012 self-titled offering being the first hip hop album to debut in the number one spot in their homeland since 2003. Since then, they’ve drummed up a mega amount of online support through the release of their crazy videos and collaborations with other artists including Max Marx. Expect their jazz-infused hip hop to smack the audience square in the face.

Sat, Nov 9th, The Basement

Charley Pride: The Mississippi man full of mojo in the mouth hits the State Theatre with his country-esque baritone. Over his almost fifty year career Pride has had a wealth of success including 36 number one hits such as A Should To Cry On, Then Who Am I and his legendary 70s track Kiss an Angel Good Morning. Pride even received his very own star on the illustrious Hollywood Walk of Fame, forever cementing his talent, musical charm and competency in the most famous pavement of America. With a back catalogue such as his, expect to hear some classics right up to his latest album release, 2011’s Choices. (CD)

Tues, Nov 12th, State Theatre
