TIM WINTON’S THE TURNING

Tim Winton’s The Turning is simply a masterpiece. This is a collection of short stories, each helmed by a different director but wound together by Winton’s uniquely beautiful writing. The Turning, although long, leaves audiences wanting more.

The idea for the film came about a few years ago when director, producer and screenwriter, Robert Connelly decided to assemble 17 Australian directors from diverse artistic disciplines to tell 17 Tim Winton stories. They were each given an open brief and worked with their own crew to turn Tim Winton’s iconically Australian short stories into big screen adaptations.

It is a magical journey that takes the audience through the maze of life and the complex relationships, struggles, dreams and emotions that humans endure.
