STOMP has been around for over 20 years, sharing this clanging, banging, beat-making high-energy show with audiences all over the world.
It’s only a short run this time so audiences have to get in quick to watch these tradie-inspired performers blow the walls and eardrums out of the Theatre Royal in Sydney.
Using nothing but rubbish bin lids, plastic bags, shopping trolleys and whatever is lying around the old garage set, dancers use creative percussion to pull the audience into each act, encouraging everyone to ‘stomp’ and clap along enthusiastically.
There is no narrative in the two-hour show, but individual characters can be established from the sexy alpha to the hilarious joker.
STOMP is loud and fast and loud, for movers, shakers and fans of big beats. (LL)
