Dragon: For a band famed for epic songs of rock and roll debauchery, it’s not often they decide to completely strip back all they have created. However, it wont be a problem for Auckland formed foursome Dragon, as they take the sounds from various points in their stellar career and lay them bare throughout their tour of the Southern Hemisphere. The guys will be on form to strum out classic tunes such as Show Danny Across The Water.

Thu, Sep 26th, Lizottes, Dee Why

Swervedriver: Maybe one of the only chances you have to hear the revered album Raise in its entirety. Since its release back in 1991, Swervedriver have only grown with songs such as Son of a Mustang Ford creating moments of pure riff-rawness that sound as fresh as the day they were created. This night will be a chance to hear an abundance of other classics from pivotal points preceding their disbanding in 1998. With support from Charlie Horse and Greta Mob, get set for a ruckus!

Fri, Sep 27th, The Metro Theatre

Tumbleweed: Wollongong wreckers Tumbleweed have had a solid couple of decades in their stoner-rock glory. After an amazing opportunity touring with legends of grunge Nirvana on their only Australian tour, these guys have since built on their success through their iconic sound and sporadic releases. Their new single Mountain is due to be released from the latest album Sounds From The Other Side, a song oozing with that classic sound that captured the loyalty of a thriving fan base.

Sat, Sep 28th, The Annandale Hotel

The Rusty Datsuns: Formed at the tragic occurrence of the 2011 Brisbane floods, The Rusty Datsuns are folk-masters with the finger-picking edge. They enrapture every audience member, shining their finely strummed ukuleles and guitars over the perfect harmonies that were first realised in the shelter of a Queensland living room. With their debut studio album Riverbank working its way into the musical conscious of their loyal fans, it will be a night to test drive their new material as well as hear some old favourites.

Sun, Sep 29th, Union Hotel, Newtown

Beijing Golden Sail Symphony Orchestra: For one night only, the eclectic members that make up the Beijing Golden Sail Symphony Orchestra will grace the noble halls of the Sydney Opera House with the simply amazing sound of their own reincarnations of some classical gems. Under their talented conductor Fengde Liu, these young men and women will play a blend of well-known masterpieces and traditional Chinese music, including Ode to Red Flag and the theme music of The Magnificent Seven. A night of beautiful notes and sounds that may not be heard again in Sydney for quite some time. (CD)
