Lights dim as late-comers scurry into The Comedy Store, filling it to capacity. A loud and excited audience with drinks in hand do not subside as the anticipation of roaring laughter accelerates.
The Best In Live Comedy is back and the revised headline format will ensure that the laughter is now doubled. A rotating line-up of seven of the funniest handpicked local comedians will have audiences falling off their seats with high-energy laughter as the piss is taken out of religion, sex, politics, pregnancy, boat people and even audience members.
Nothing is sacred, especially when the international headliner comes onstage for an extended stint in the finale, further increasing the fits of laughter.
The caption for the show is “ALL KILLER, NO FILLER!”
Fewer and better comedians onstage with longer segments will add to the enjoyment, guaranteeing audiences a hilarious night out they won’t forget. (MM)
