SOME LIKE IT HOT

Danielle Everett is a professional entertainer through and through, and is treating Sydney audiences to a one-off concert. She sings, dances and acts, and could probably do all three riding backwards bareback on a horse. In fact, it’s highly likely this is the performer turned horse-trainer’s daily yoga-equivalent.

While she won’t actually be entering Glen Street Theatre saddled to a pony, the show nonetheless promises to impress. Everett’s dramatic career to date includes prominent roles in classics such as Phantom of the Opera, Hair – the Musical and Sound of Music.

Her performance, consisting of herself and pianist David Cameron, will feature show tunes from composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, alongside other well-known arias by Giacomo Puccini.

“There will be a couple of Adele songs too,” she confirms. “There’s something for everybody.”

Her family and horses take up most of her time now, although she is a regular corporate theatre performer. While she may not be seen commanding nightly encores, Everett is certainly not out of practice. (RM)
