SNAKADAKTAL – SLEEP IN THE WATER
There is a lot going on in this high quality production. From the introduction it’s made clear that Sleep in the Water is going to be a sophisticated collection of music featuring multilayered chill beats that are both laid-back and very infectious. These are complemented by clean, Brit-pop guitar lines.
Unfortunately, after a setup that promises to be outstanding, the album begins to drag midway through.
The stylised vocals, which from the beginning aren’t spectacular, become repetitive and there is a lack of variation between tracks, which lets this otherwise very likable album down. (LC)
