The Possible Worlds Film Festival makes a return to our shores in its eighth year with open arms, a beacon of light for the great Canadian & American stories that are sometimes overlooked in an age where Hollywood blockbusters reign supreme.

“There are an amazing number of stories being told around the world that we don’t get to hear and without festivals, especially festivals dedicated to independent cinema, you’d miss out entirely. I really strongly believe that we need to preserve the diversity of those voices,” explains Festival Director Mathieu Ravier.

“The festival is an opportunity to put the ‘festiv’ back into festival, and to have fun going to the movies with your mates,” he continues.

That festiveness is something that really shines through – the festival has a lot to offer patrons.

“We’re a very friendly festival, our screenings include a free drink on arrival and a chance to really chat about the films and have a good time,” says Ravier. (AH)
