FRANCES HA

FRANCES HA

Greta Gerwig is a delight as Frances in this unconventional black-and-white comedy set in New York City. As Frances clings to her dream of being a dancer, her dwindling finances and straying friendship with bestie Sophie see her integrate with people that don’t quite relate to her charmingly oddball personality.

Frances Ha is a heartfelt film that shows finding a true connection need not always be about romance. It is seriously funny in a refreshingly unexpected way.

Directed by Noah Baumbach, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Gerwig, the film stars an array of talented young actors including Mickey Sumner as Sophie and Adam Driver (Girls, Lincoln) as her new roommate Lev. (KM)
