The Enmore Theatre is now in the laugh business with the opening of Enmore Comedy Club. The event will continue every Tuesday and has definitely started with a bang as Tony Woods headlined a line up of top Aussie comedians.
With the multi-talented David Smeidt as MC the show crackled along nicely and Woods delivered a hilarious laid-back set that should set the pace for the Enmore Comedy Club’s coming weeks. Woods comes direct from the USA and is an original member of Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam on HBO and P.Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy.
The Enmore’s newly refurbished cafe has a cosy atmosphere but still seats a decent-sized audience on two levels.
This new comedy club promises to deliver top international comics combined with upcoming Australian talent every week. (AW)
