DREAM ON, DREAMER – LOVELESS

DREAM ON, DREAMER – LOVELESS

From the get-go Loveless screams high production value. The warm, clear guitar sounds and resounding drums are very enticing. The ever-present backing guitar and ambient synth could easily clutter the track, but is expertly executed.

However, the song writing is poor. There is not one memorable lyric on the entire album and the melodies are all practically identical. Just about every song is written in a call-and-scream-in-response structure, with a heavy reliance on rhythm changes to carry through.

The band covers a range of rock and metal styles that fans of the genre will definitely find worthy of praise. (LC)
