CLASSIXX – HANGING GARDENS

This latest offering by Classixx does what so few achieve, it holds the staple elements of EDM – the catchy hooks, the uplifting synthesised sounds and pounding boogie-inducing beats – and fuses them into a calmer pace. It’s not a foot-dragging shuffle or an Olympic sprint, more like a paced jog that you can do at any time of the day.

Standout elements include tracks I’ll Get You, Stranger Love, and the popular mainstream track Holding On.

The eleventh track on the record, Jozi’s Fire, is one to play close attention to – shining a reincarnated, groovy focus on the legendary Dean Hartman classic Relight My Fire. (CD)
