BRIAN COX – AN EVENING OF SCIENTIFIC PHENOMENA

BRIAN COX – AN EVENING OF SCIENTIFIC PHENOMENA

When did physics become cool? No longer the stereotypical domain of people with thick glasses, bad haircuts and personality challenges – physics is now officially on trend.

At the cutting edge is Professor Brian Cox who via his BBC television series may well be the world’s foremost communicator of all things scientific. One-time keyboard player for D:Ream who had eight top 40 hits and a UK number one with Things Can Only Get Better, Cox looks and sounds every bit the pop star. Currently member of the High Energy Physics Group at the University of Manchester – no that’s not a band – he divides his time between the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland and travelling the world to talk about science.

An Evening of Scientific Phenomena promises a night of experiments, audience interaction, stunning visuals and some serious brain stretching. Brian Cox has the knack for making highly complex matters enormously entertaining and easy to grasp.

Hosted by Sydney breakfast brainiac Adam Spencer, it’s the chance to get in touch with your inner geek. (GW)
