WAMPIRE – CURIOUSITY

With a band name as kooky as Wampire, it’s hard to shake the feeling that this musical release will be something out of the ordinary.

The nine tracks that were crafted by these five men from Portland is an amalgamation of zany electronic organ additions matched with psychedelic guitars and a steady drum to keep the pace moving.

Stand out tune is definitely awarded to Giants. Within this four-minute track contains a mind-blowing switch up from slightly threatening to a middle section that completely contradicts the beginning. By the time the guitar lines return to mark the end, it has completely intrigued and urges to press repeat.

It’s a charming and incredibly composed album. (CD)
