Off the back of an overwhelmingly successful inaugural production, the fledgling Little Spoon Theatre Company are once again revisiting an exceptional Australian play with Jonathan Gavin’s, Tiger Country.

“It’s an absolutely cracking script, and probably a little bit more of a risky choice than a lot of theatre companies would make, cause it is quite confronting subject matter,” says core member, Wade Doolan. “We kind of feel like there’s no point doing middle of the road theatre, you know. We want to make an impression and try to make an impact, and this script will definitely do that.”

Doolan and the rest of the crew at Little Spoon are very clearly passionate about this production.

“Yeah, we’re really happy with how we’re going at the moment. Our first play was a sell-out and that was a bit of an unexpected surprise for us. Tiger Country’s gonna be on a much bigger scale than our previous play, so it has the potential to reach a lot more audience, which is amazing.”

“Oh man! You should definitely come along!” he enthuses. (LC)
