After successful seasons in Adelaide and Melbourne, Julie Madly Deeply arrives in Sydney to mesmerise theatre-goers. This “one lady show” is an incarnation by Sarah Louise Young, a British award-winning West End actress, singer, writer, comedienne and international cabaret performer.

“I perform all the favourites from [Julie] Andrews’ movies. It’s not an impersonation – I call this show a ‘caba-play’, a word I’ve created meaning cabaret and play,” Young explains. “The diversity in Andrews’ work is incredible and the challenge was what to incorporate into the show.”

Described as an “affectionate and cheeky love letter to Julie Andrews”, Julie Madly Deeply is a celebratory, heartfelt and playful look at her life and career, where singing, dancing, comedy and insightful stories tap into why fans around the world adore her so much.

“Julie Andrews is a lady with integrity. There’s something of herself in her roles,” Young says. “At an early age I saw The Sound of Music and there was promise of more.”
