TIME EXPOSURES: 60 LIFE PORTRAITS

Evolution is an interesting process. Artist and Photographer Sharon Zwi’s project Time Exposures: 60 Life Portraits brings to light the simple fact that change is inevitable, and people evolve. They go from being those cute little babies to pioneers in their chosen lives, from being curious youth to the respected seniors of society.

A thought-provoking black and white collection of 60 composite grid photographs, it is showcased at Fisher Library. Its university location adds to the portraits a somewhat scholarly look, thereby enhancing the appeal. As the stairs wind down to a corridor and then a hall, the numerous faces on the side wall seem to walk with you, each telling a unique story of their own.

The best part is it makes the viewer think and wonder, about who they were, presently are, and might be! Definitely worth a visit. (JR)
