GREETINGS FROM TIM BUCKLEY

Greetings from Tim Buckley is an ode to Jeff Buckley that offers us a glimpse into his musical genius. Starring American Penn Badgley with Imogen Poots playing Allie, his confidant, the movie follows the journey of Jeff as he grapples with the legacy of his late musician father, Tim.

It all culminates with Jeff’s legendary 1991 tribute performance of his father’s songs in a Brooklyn church, three years prior to the release of his critically acclaimed first album Grace. The film features stirring musical performances and the memorable songs of a father and son who are well-known to both generations of fans.

Greetings from Tim Buckley will be showing as part of this year’s Sydney Film Festival. (MS)
