A PLACE FOR ME

A PLACE FOR ME

Years after his wife has left him, acclaimed novelist Bill (Greg Kinnear) can’t stop thinking she’s going to walk back in the door at any moment. He fills his time in a “friends with benefits” situation with the married woman down the road, and keeps an eye on his introspective son, Rusty (Nat Wolff) and soon-to-be novelist daughter, Sam (Lily Collins).

“A writer is the sum of their experiences – go get some,” so advises Bill to Rusty, with consequences that will tear the family apart before they can get it back together.

This is the touching and uplifting story of how one family muddles through, making mistakes but starting again. It’s laugh-out-loud funny at times, and the outstanding cast make this a hugely enjoyable film. (LG)
