MITZI

On November 29, Brisbane quartet Mitzi will be bringing their unique brand of disco pop to Sydney’s Goodgod.

Keyboardist, Jad Lee, says the band is influenced by bands like Talking Heads, Fleetwood Mac and Chic.

“We just wanted to make music that we enjoyed and made people feel like dancing.”

Following their successful 2011 EP, the boys are back with a new single Who will love you now.

This time round, Mitzi’s recruited Ash Workman (Metronomy, Sparkadia, Slow Club) to mix their debut album, Truly Alive, due to be released early next year via Future Classic.

Jad says along with showcasing new music, Mitzi will be bringing a visual element to their shows.

“We’ve been working with a really cool artist called Tim Lovett. He has created visuals for our set and they’re really amazing. We’re really excited to showcase our new songs and also the visual aspect.”
