JAZZ AT THE FORT

JAZZ AT THE FORT

“Summertime, and the living is easy!” at Fort Denison especially. Everyone can see from the harbour shoreline the little heritage listed island, that was once a prison, but what you really ought to do is have listen in. Cause jazz lovers and fine diners alike are currently booking white table-clothed tables and specially reserved water limos departing from Luna Park or Campbell Cove 5pm Sunday evenings. Watch Sydney’s spectacular sunset backdrops whilst listening to the warm, velvety, crimson, orange and purple tones of Sydney’s most established internationally known soul, jazz and rhythm and blues vocalist Mary Kiani. Like a resident Cherokee Indian mermaid, Scotland’s first diva of song, who recently settled in Sydney after leaving her native Britain where she can boast a string of 90’s top twenty pop hits, is drawing in boats of jazz lovers and tourists for classically elegant evenings that prove to satisfy all of your senses to the max, leaving you romantically unwound and ready to begin your week.

Every Sunday until Feb 28, Fort Denison, $30 for water taxi and entry, 9358 1999 or www.fortdenison.com.au
