2009 sees Michael Moore point his imposing finger at capitalism and American uber-companies in the latest doco Capitalism: A Love Story. For the painfully literal out there, the title is laden with more irony than an Alanis Morissette album. As a half-hearted and sporadic hater of capitalism from way back, I was already aware of many of the horrors Moore reveals in Capitalism. But then again, I doubt I was ever his audience to begin with. For those out there unaware of the fact that your employer may have taken out secret life insurance on you, and could thereby profit from your timely death, this is the film for you. This is the usual Moore fare, it may reek of propagandist agenda, but at least here it’s the right agenda.
