The Old 505 Theatre

The Old 505 Theatre is a rich performance venue that has been supporting the local community since it was founded in 2004. Together with its sister space Venue 505, it presents over 350 performances each year. The space provides a home for Sydney’s independent theatre directors, designers, and actors. It strongly supports Australian works. With new productions opening sometimes every six weeks, the range on display is always exciting. Opening in late November, the show Knots will tell how stories, ideas, and words last and move through time. The Old 505 Theatre not only hosts productions but also fosters greater discussion about performances during interviews and pre/post show sessions.
