Where the locals go: Waverley College

Waverley College is an innovative, non-selective independent Catholic day school for boys with more than 100 years’ history. The College has an impressive historical list of university graduates representing a broad range of faculties and degrees. Waverley College’s graduate in medicine, Gordon B Lowe, qualified as a doctor in time to serve with the AIF in 1916. It’s first architecture graduate was Bruce Delitt (Waverley 1910-1914); his most notable contributions to Sydney’s landscape include the War Memorial in Hyde Park and the head office of the Bank of New South Wales (Westpac) in George Street, Sydney.
