LOVE, TILLY DEVINE
The name might be a nod to a notorious 19th Century brothel Madame and militia boss, but this wine bar tucked in the back of a Darlinghurst laneway is no hussy. The cosy corners of the split level room lend themselves more to a first date than a night on the tiles. Sommelier Matt Swieboda’s passion for interesting wine translates to a list some 300 bottles strong from all corners of the globe. Wine is definitely the star here, but the short sharp food menu is a graceful supporting act in this knockout venue. (TM)
