October is rammed with events to invigorate the most jaded of palates. My interest has been piqued by Omnivore running from the 3rd-6th October. It’s the French group’s first foray into Australia, and the festival has a focus on young cuisine. They’re bringing in a host of international talent, like Samoan-born Michael Meredith, to collaborate with our own cutting edge chefs – including Ross Lusted, Hamish Ingham, Pasi Petanen and Daniel Puskas. The program includes both masterclasses and meals. I’ll be heading down to see the (rather handsome) Michael Meredith in action with Hamish Ingham at The Woods ($85/head); Ross Lusted’s Masterclass ($45/half day pass); and the all-star Omnivorous Party ($80/head) on Saturday 5th October too. Buy tickets quickly, these events will sell out…
