PYRMONT LANDCARE

Tucked in-between a rock and a hard place, this little pocket of winding ramps and native shrubbery makes the journey from Wattle Street up to the sliding train doors of the Wentworth Park Light Rail Station infinitely more pleasant. An initiative of the Pyrmont Ultimo Landcare volunteers, the site is one of a group of six around Sydney where locals are doing their bit to create new native habitats. Landcare makes it easy to get your weed-on, so grab your garden gloves and join other like-minded volunteers to bring a bit of the bush back into the city. (JJ)
