It’s a big place, but there’s an even bigger emphasis on small details at the Indian Palace Restaurant in Balmain. The wait-staff are more than hospitable, and take pride in serving up food which is fresh and authentic. A highlight is the Bhuna Goat Curry (slow pot roasted meat with fresh ginger, garlic, tomatoes, sliced onions, garam masala and coriander). The wine list is also impressive and well chosen, featuring Riesling and Verdelho by the glass. True to its name, the dining experience at Indian Palace is indeed, fit for a King. (CH)
