THE CRICKETERS ARMS

A fireplace is a rarity these days and something to be treasured, as is the kooky little pub in which it stands. Ironically there is nothing relating to either cricket or arms here. There are however, some very special vibes. The fireplace is mounted in an open brick wall with a big pile of split logs beside it. There is a sign above asking that customers leave the care of the fire to the staff. This indicates two things 1) It is a real wood fire! 2) It is in a Sydney pub. Why all the rules? Never the less, the Cricketers Arms is a stand out. (LC)
